- Relaxed restrictions on file naming conventions
- Domain-Member cycles now permitted if cycles exist only in the presentation. That is, there is no hypercube, or the related hypercube does not actually contain designated members
Virtually all XBRL 2.1 changes are upward-compatible. Those that aren't relate to conformance tests for edge cases that we don't see in practice.

This release is only a performance and stability release. Notably:
- Limit errors to 100 per category. Validation reports generating large numbers of errors stressed systems and were not helpful to consumer.

Altered Calculations based on change to XBRL 2.1 specification. Please see our blog entry.
Many EDGAR upgrades including (but not limited to):
- EDGAR Filings must contain at least *one* Calculation
- More precise checks on language usage ("en-US")
- Units Registry (UTR) checks are controversial; they will not be posted on the EDGAR Dashboard
- Myriad tiny adjustments to EFM validation based on internal reviews, none of which are expected to impact real filings.
